About Me

Christine was a cast member on the highly-controversial 2008 reality TV show When Women Rule The World, hosted by Steve Jones (T4, The X-Factor, Entertainment Tonight), which premiered on the Channel 4 network in the UK, and was produced by September Films.

As a feminist/vegetarian/pacifist/bookworm, she has solo-backpacked across the Middle East, Europe (East and West, including the Balkans), Asia, South America, the Caribbean, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Christine was a Top 50 finalist in the Best Job in the World – Island Reef Job global competition, hosted by Tourism Queensland, beating out over 34,000 other applications from over 200 countries.

Christine cannot wear white without spilling something on it, but you’ll still find her, most likely, in the fridge at 4am.

Your question of whether the graphic was Chris Cornell or Elvis Presley missed the mark. It was Bruce Springsteen, circa 1975.

So… as a newcomer to Toronto, I have to say I’m a bit disappointed with the lack of street art. I’ve found plenty of tags and graffiti, but few stencils and stickers. Any suggestions on where to find some pieces? Any Fairey or Banksy bits about? I’m also interested in the unknowns! Thoughts? Love your blog, you sexy thang!

    • Hey Johnny,
fanks for the comments! Apart from Graffiti Alley, there are some great pieces in the alleys off of Ossington and west Queen West. Also the rail path, Kensington Market, Little Italy, all of their alleys have some great work. The only Shepard Faireys I have found in Toronto are the Obey stickers, and all of Banksy’s work, except one, has been tagged over. If you go to the Ocho Hotel, one of Banksy’s rats has been preserved on the side. As for the rest, Toronto has some great homegrown artists! Check out my categories for Deadboy, Spud, Listen Bird, THINGS, Evolve, Adore, Joel Richardson, BleedingHeart, and probably Toronto’s most internationally-famous artist, Fauxreel. Enjoy!

I got out today and explored some of the areas you suggested. I thought I’d let you know that the Banksy at Ocho has been sprayed over. I love this city!
