ADORE

you didn’t see shit!

nice work, ADORE.

Wanted? Unwanted?

i happened upon this doorway which had a quickie-Listen Bird

… and also one of Adore‘s tags….

… and a new tag I hadn’t seen before called BLKMSK… er, “blackmask?”…

i look to the side of the doorway and i see what i initially think is another UNWANTED, but instead of the freaky male-headshot, it’s a woman, and it says WANTED.

and BLKMSK tagged next to it.

so are men unwanted? and women wanted?

in blackmask?

Adore the gaybourhood

baudrillard? who the hell is that?

yeah, i’m more of a marshall mcluhan fan, myself.

you’re not my eater, i’m not your food

took a day offa bloggin’ yesterday because it was a statutory Canadian holiday called Family Day. for all my international readers, it’s basically a bullshit bank holiday dreamed up by our conservative government as a new form of torture. i mean, really, who wants to spend time with their family? TORTURE, I TELLS YA.

anyway, time to dropbox like it’s hot.

ADORE is really good at stickers and tagging his name …. just waiting for him to do something, you know, interesting.

ADORE the walls

found inside the abandoned tower automotive building.

ADORE the rooftops

I’ve blogged about ADORE’s stickers before, but to get his name up on the queen west rooftops like this, he would have had to spraypaint it UPSIDEDOWN. wicked skills, bruv.

i love the queen west buildings. they’re all red-bricked and date back to the 1880s. i was living in london england when that stretch on queen west burned down, and with all the redevelopment happening in the area, lots of our heritage buildings are going awol.  it’s nice to see some of toronto’s history still checkin’ in every morning to remind us of the days when we were a lawless border town!

you got wires going in, you got wires coming out of your skin

electrical boxes are always primo graff targets. they hold a stencil or a sticker so well. they should be designated graffiti zones. this one was on gerard street east in front of a high school. i was walking around with my backpack (it has my laptop in it) and my sneakers, so i blended right in with the pre-pubescents and their obnoxious confidence.

who you smiling at, punk?

these slugs are everywhere. literally. they are all over toronto, and have been for years. up until this very post, i have pretty much REFUSED to blog about them. they annoy the fuck out of me. why? cuz they’re poorly photocopied, and there’s no tagger name on them.

and since they are ON EVERY SINGLE STREET IN THE CITY, my familiarity with them has bred a disinterest.

dude behind these needs to step up his game.

here’s an ADORE. he’s infamous for his tags and stickers around the city, some of which i’ve photographed before but i haven’t made a study of it.

here’s another ADORE bomb at queen and parliament.
