Kid Acne is about ready to pop

See what I did there?

Me= Clever.

ME!

Anyway, I came across Kid Acne‘s stabby-women by accident. I was on Bethnal Green Road at a cash point withdrawing some money, when I saw one of his stabby-women wheatpastes on an adjacent door. Then, I couldn’t swing my camera case without knocking into 5 more stabby women.

I gotta say, I really fucking like them.

Women should be stabby all the time.

I know I am.

YOU HEARD ME.

As an added bonus, the Pulse of the City is right below the stabby woman here!

The other thing I noticed about these stabby women is that they are all topless …. just like Eleanor of Aquitaine. She rode into battle pregnant and bare-breasted. FUCK YEAH ELEANOR.

Shok-1′s Heart

A confession: I’m not exactly a fan of Shok-1. Yes his stuff is all over London, yes it’s clever and bright and well-executed and it brightens up any dreary wall …. but it just doesn’t really move me. I’ve found most of Shok-1′s stuff, even the new stuff before the major blogs were onto it, and refrained from blogging about it because I just can’t get excited about it.

But this …. I will give him this.

Only because the addition of the man cutting his nails improves the mural by tenfold …

Gaia’s Show of Hands

I’ve photographed street artist Gaia before, as you can see here in Brooklyn, but I heard recently that he was in London, prepping for his exhibit called Show of Hands. It was then that I realized that all of the hand-themed wheatpastes I’d been photographing all throughout Shoreditch were his!

I found this at the bottom of Brick Lane, the hands depicted are counting a wad of bills.

these were further up Brick Lane.

And these were on Chance street, just north of Shoreditch High Street station.

I think these are my favourite.

You can stand under my umbrella

I found this early one morning, walking on Bethnal Green Road, London.

I’m sorry, but this is fucking adorable.

Nice work, anonymous street artist. Uda man.

Cologne Roa

I once found a beat-up looking Roa in Cologne back in December, as you can see here. Since moving to Cologne, I haven’t found another until the boyf did some digging. We hopped on our bikes and zoomed through the city, zigging and zagging until we finally found a second Roa!

It’s creepy as fuck! I love it!

Roa always does murals of things dying or in decay. This hanging skinned rabbit is something one would find most readily in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia … or, you know, the West about 120 years ago. But what the boyf and I noticed right away was, were it not for the rabbit head, tail and legs …. doesn’t the body carry the same musculature as that of a human?

Check out my Roa category for more of his work that I’ve photographed all around the world over the past few years!

Robbed Mobstr

Remember a few months ago when I was still living in London and I found this “buff” piece by Mobstr in Shoreditch? Basically what had happened was, he had put up a piece, the owners of the building had blacked it out, so he went up there again and wrote BUFF BUFF BUFF all around the removal sites.

Well, I was back in London briefly this past week, and what do I see?

They had blacked out his BUFF parts, and so he returned AGAIN, being the awesome shit disturber he is, and put HERE HERE HERE all over it!

I can just imagine the building owners walking outside in the morning, looking back upon their beautiful exposed-brick façade and suddenly exclaiming GAAAAAAAAAH! DAMN YOU MOBSTR. YOU’VE WON AGAIN.

Anyway, as I wandered away from Shoreditch towards Brick Lane, I found another Mobstr piece where he bombs the same wall that he previously had hit, poking fun at his removal.

This probably won’t be available on canvas later.

What’s the arrow pointing at?

The original spot on the wall he had placed that, only to be tagged over.

Shut up, I had to.

Check out my Mobstr category for more of his pieces I’ve photographed around London!

L.E.T. : Les Enfants Terribles

These LET pieces were all found around Dusseldorf… I’ve blogged LET’s work before, a mural of a child I found in Cologne (I will never say what you want to hear). LET is bringing the house down.

Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off

I last time I visited Postman’s Park in London was way back in 2007 when I was living there… London, not the park.

What an interesting time in my life that was.

Yet, what an interesting time of my life now this is.

I am so afraid of losing you

Found in Basel, Switzerland :)

Away we go

We went backpacking across Europe recently (Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Germany) and only got up to three important things:

#1: Planking!

Everyone knows I have a history of planking (see more examples here, here, here, and here) … it’s my thang.

Planking on the stairway to heaven. MMMMM, Sacri-licious.

Swans!

#2: Statue Fuckery!

#3: And Most of All, Taking Really Awkward Photos of Me When I Wasn’t Ready!

PS…

GOATS!

Never stop travelling, my delicious munchkins, even if it’s only across your backyard with a very light carry-on.

Soon I’ll be posting some of the graffiti and street art we found on our journey :) Watch this space!

Meanwhile, in Germany …

Why yes, this is indeed a veritable pussywagon.

Look ladies, it’s a Ford Fiesta!

EVERYBODY WET YOUR PANTIES.

Silence is China

There’s an old saying that Talking is Silver, Silence is Golden. This mural, funded by Amnesty International, and found on Richard-Wagner-Strasse in Cologne, says Talking is Silver, Silence is China. This is clearly a commentary on China’s human right’s violations, and there are many.

Note the Buddhist monk being gagged by the Chinese flag.

MC Donald, Master of Ceremonies

McDonald blood, master of ceremonies blood.

Friesenwall, Cologne

Whisper that you miss me

Found on Friesenwall, Cologne.

Decycle

Back in early December when I was doing my Eurail.com extravaganza, I found this Decycle wheatpaste of a businessman tying a noose around his neck here in Cologne. Now that I’m living here, I’ve been lucky enough to find more examples of his work!

These were all found on Friesenwall in the main centre of Cologne.

And the wall answers back

But only to barf bricks at you.

Whatever

Found on Hackney Road aka the Horrortorium.

You really are as thick as you are ugly

WOA’DERE!

BURN!

Man up’t and vanished like a fart in the wind

Ah, Graffiti Shawshank Redemption… eases the pain….
