remember how i said in my last post that there is a scent on my pillows?

he was here last night.

some people think sex with an ex will just reignite feelings.

for me, i think i’m finally over him.

as promised, here are my New York photos!

ground zero

wall street, stock exchange, has been closed to visitors since 9/11

i’m a poser

that’s why you love me

me and my sister, stephybits

the sunglass twins

the view from steph’s 16th floor apartment. i would wake up next to this window and marvel at the way the morning light hit the buildings.

steph lives around the corner from ground zero, very downtown manhattan

stunning

that super-tall art-deco building is the Woolworth building.

walking up broadway, took me 3 hours!

new york, new york

empire state building growing out of trees

flat-iron building. the one in toronto predates the new york one, but this one i think is nicer

line up at the hot dog stands. after i took this shot, a guy walked up to me and said, “hey gorgeous, can i get a photo next?” men in new york are JUST like men in italy. they have no problems whispering sexually-charged musings to girls as they pass. i don’t know how i feel about that. it nurtures my ugly-teenager ego that still bounces around inside, but also enrages the feminist of me.

walking through times square

taxis and Bubba Gump Shrink company . . .. haha!

aww, the infamous coca-cola sign ain’t working!

me, sweaty on the street

the nekkid cowboy!

those buns . . .

the theatre! dear god, the theatre!! i’m like a junkie in a meth clinic!

infamous roxy delicatessen. deli’s are fricken everywhere here, it was awesome! you know that final shot in the movie Closer where natalie portman is back in nyc and is walking down the street. you see The Roxy in the background:)

i sat in the window of a deli and had this scrumptous panini. it even came with a pickle! so new york!

steph and i went to this really quaint cafe called Kitchenette, it was so adorable.

steph with her avocado-chicken salad.

me and my roasted tomato salad.

walking through Nolita area

in Tribeca, found this cool titty-mermaid

we were just walking along, and i happened to notice this embedded in the concrete. it’s so perfect! and hard to find, so glad i saw it!

ah soho, how do i love thee . .. especially with that guy on the right reading in the shade. me love you.

just too perfect

taking a stop at Vosges chocolaterie to cool off and enjoy some nibbles.

the sidewalk where john lennon was assassinated.

and the mosaic erected in central park by yoko ono to honour her husband.

rockefeller center

the u.s.a. post office thinks they’re jedi knights or r2d2 or something

rockefeller plaza where that huge xmas tree is erected and people ice skate. that dude hanging off the statue is such a hoser.

great shot of the empire state building from 5th avenue

read in the sun, reflect off the water

can’t remember the name of this thingy, but they’re totally ripping off L’arc de Triomphe.

our tour guide had his fly undone! and the best part, was when he caught me taking this photo. steph and i pissed our pants for a good 20 minutes

manhattan skyline

steph shoving her face in my shot!

i love how the coast guard in the front is wielding his gun like it’s an extension of his cock, while the guard in the back is waving to all the lovely ladies on the ferry . . .

that’s what we were on. orange, isn’t it?

note to readers: when you go to nyc, don’t go the empire state building during the day. it’s open until 2am! go at night! during the day, there are wait times of up to 2 hours just to get up there, and when you do, it’s crowded with loud japanese tourists, pushy americans, wailing babies and annoying kids, and all the good shots are blocked by people’s fat heads. when i went around 10pm, i didn’t have to wait at all, just ran up there, and had the place all to myself, very quiet and serene. only me, a few smooching couples, and a saxophone player playing “The Way You Look Tonight”

and the view…gotham city, so beautiful and magnificient

looking up at the steel

people had written all over the observation deck. i took shots of ones that made my heart soar.

“new york i’ll be back”

it’s like i’m holding your hand

notice at the knowing-gleam in my eye? that’s right, i know i’m a nimrod.

never gonna live this down

kiss me, i’m the statue of liberty, bitch!

tried to get tickets. bastards don’t like canadians.

took a tour of the majestic radio city music hall, loved it!

that’s moi, in one of the lounges inside radio city. it was so art deco, so ornate, so lush and oppulent.

guess who’s stoop i’m sitting on?

that’s carrie bradshaw’s stoop, bitches!

did you watch saturday night live last week? where andy samberg did that musical song to mahmoud ahmadinejad (which you can view here). well i was in times square when they were filming it!

i love this shot

steph, dino, and i went out for din-din at a vietnamese resto called NAM, and they had grass on the table! real grass!

dino and steph

sisters . . . steph says we look alike, but dino and i don’t see it.

met up with my gal from TPM, amber! the passe muraille bitches are back!

after seeing a really bad play called “True Genius” at Altered Stages on 29th street, i treated myself to a night of Rent! i know it’s campy, but it’s also really great. you get your money’s worth for sure:)

me after the show, singing, No day but today! . . . we don’t need any money! i always get in for free! ouuuuuuut! tonight!

the lady i asked to take this photo for me said, “you’re so beautiful, it’s hard to take a bad shot of you!” awww!

steph and i took a walk across the brooklyn bridge, it was such an invigorating walk!

we saw jimmy fallon walking across the bridge too. he was totally checking us out too.

the view from the other side of the bridge, overlooking manhattan

most days, i walked through the city, trying to find the twin towers. i don’t know why, i knew they weren’t there. i just thought if i looked up, i’d see something.

i’m so cute.
