>christine’s european extravaganza trilogy: a new hope
>here’s another video courtesy of Kat of me dancing to techno, completely drunk off my tits.
it’s official, munchkins.
on May 29th, the same day my next travel writing article (on Nice, France) gets published in NOW Magazine, i will begin my next eastern-european extravaganza.
i fly into Kiev (Ukraine), and will subsequently hit Bucharest (Romania), Istanbul (Turkey), Sofia (Bulgaria), Skopje (Macedonia), Pristina (Kosovo), Bar (Montenegro), Belgrade (Serbia), Zagreb (Croatia), Sarajevo (Bosnia-Hercegovina), and finally Dubrovnik (Croatia).
i’ll be gone for 5 weeks.
i cannot wait to live out of a mashed and beaten backpack, to run across platforms to catch departing trains, to climb mountains, shake hands, slip through forgotten alleys, drink coffee in old markets, jump off bridges formerly used by snipers into calm blue waters, cross dotted lines, blur trees, chase horizons, kiss strange men in nightclubs, confuse ‘thank you’ with ‘good evening’ in slavic tongues, bronze myself with a sunkiss, and to run across continents with a riot in the heart.
T-minus 14 days . . . countdown begins.
Niko sends me text messages saying he wants to pin me down and rip off my clothes.
if i had a nickel…..
