Labrona is a Montreal street artist who has collab’d with Gawd and Over Under, and had work exhibited in LA and London, and as you can see, he’s wicked talented with the acrylics! His pieces are so emotive, they can draw me into my solipsism. I wanted to grab an axe, chop this wall down, and take the surface with his art home with me. I’d knock my own bedroom walls out and replace them with this.
This was found in an alleyway off of St-Laurent…. probably near Saint-Viateur. It’s hard to tell when you’re in the alleys where the nearest intersection is!
things are more like they are now than they have ever been before
i couldn’t get a good angle or get close to this one because a stupid car was parked right in front of it!
this was on Saint-Viateur and de Gaspé
Also on de Gaspé. I absolutely adore this mural
(i also love how someone changed the “pas de parking” sign to “no farting.” ….what self-respecting quebecois writes “pas de parking?” parking is not a fucking french word. IT’S STATIONNEMENT! then again, we have been saying “faire du shopping” and “bon weekend” for years…. sigh)
this is rapturously beautiful, i almost feel like i might die of apoplexy.
in truth, i don’t know if this last one is by labrona, but it seems to be of a similar style.
this was near st-laurent and mont-royal.
