ET: Fuck home, I’m seeking asylum
Found this in an alley behind Brick Lane. This is really clever to me, because not only is it a play on ET’s famous phone home line, but it also seems to comment on Britain’s immigration and refugee policies. It would be funny to see ET in line at a government office, filling out refugee forms. That’s a deleted scene only to be found on the DVD, surely.
I don’t like the peace sign next to this, though. Unless that’s the artist’s signature, I think it’s out of place, and tacky. Otherwise, this piece is tops.
